FAQs | For the Love of Kratom

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Kratom?
Kratom is a natural plant based out of Southeast Asia. Mitragyna Speciosa is a tropical evergreen tree from the coffee family. It's alkaloids provide various benefits to it's users at many different levels of potency. The effectiveness of Kratom has proven to be suitable for most users.

Do you lab test your Kratom products?
Each batch of our Kratom has been tested for contaminants and potency and is kept to standard to provide the assurance of a safe and consistent solution for many medical needs. Because we continue to test every batch we can assure you the quality and potency you expect every time.

Is Kratom legal in my state?
Mitragyna Speciosa is legal in most states, however you should always check your local laws for anything related to kratom. Kratom is illegal in the following states and we will not ship to:

  • Alabama
  • Arkansas
  • California – San Diego County
  • Florida – Sarasota County
  • Illinois – City of Jerseyville. Illinois also bans the sale of Kratom to minors under 18.
  • Indiana
  • New Hampshire – 18 and over only
  • Rhode Island
  • Vermont
  • Wisconsin

Can I take too much Kratom?
Like with most drugs, overdose on Kratom is possible, especially when mixed with other intoxicants. Possible signs of a Kratom overdose include:

  • Nausea
  • Irritability
  • Agitation
  • Drowsiness
  • Elevated blood pressure
  • Rapid heartbeat
  • Psychosis
  • Seizure

These symptoms can be dangerous, and that danger is compounded by the fact that there’s not yet much information on what dose is appropriate. It’s highly recommended to start out small, taking just a few grams at first to figure out how much your body can handle. What is known is that Kratom produces stimulant effects at smaller doses, but as the dose is raised, it can produce strong sedative and euphoric effects. At even higher doses, it can produce hallucinations and delusions. Beyond that, overdose is likely.

Is Kratom safe for me to use?
In respectable dosages Kratom is a safe and effective option for many of its users. Because of the relatively small amount of research that has been done it is still something that all users should take with caution. If you feel you might have a preexisting condition that might interfere with stimulants or (in high dosage) sedatives it is recommended that you consult a physician before using Kratom as a regular supplement.
